Every Friday and Saturday, two local woman sell home-made fast food as take away. Junk food is just as popular in LaPoile as elsewhere in North America.
For generations, families in fishing communities have survived of the bounties of the ocean. The family trade was passed from father to son. Now it is a way of life that has all but vanished. With the government ban there are no jobs, and only a few fishing communities remain.
